La-La-La-La-Lola’s

They tore down the Wreck Room a couple of weeks ago. Talk about an end to an era. However, owner Brian Forella ain’t goin’ down wit’it. Nope, he’s already had Sixth Street Live up and kickin’, and on January 23rd Sixth Street becomes Lola’s…let the party begin!
Brian already has a stupendous reputation for great shows and great venues, but he upped the ante even more when he hired Lance Yocom (Spune Productions) to book shows at Lola’s. Talk about street cred…and shows he’s a’booking. Not good, not great, but magnificant shows.

Okay, the Sword / Record Hop show has been giving me happy pants for the past month or so. So where exactly are you supposed to go to try to win tickets? ‘Cause while my pants are happy, my wallet is quite sad.
And, good LORD, there are a shitload of good shows scheduled for this place. Not just “good” but, like…well, “happy pants” good. I’m gonna need to take out a loan just to cover mileage to and fro…

My understanding is that you’re supposed to go to the Lola’s Grand Opening/Name Change Party on the 23rd to have a chance at tix.
