Dallas Observer Music Editor – Hired? (this post will change sporadically without notice or reason)
Posted by Cindy on January 7th, 2008

Rumor has it that the new Music Editor for the Dallas Observer is “23-year old Pete Friedman.” (or Pete Freedman as Bill pointed out)….and it seems that this Freedman fella may have already contributed in his own back-seat way.
Who dat?
Liles shoulda got it. Can you imagine how much fun this “music scene,” not to mention the D.O. music section woulda/coulda/shoulda been with Liles at the helm? Now my hero will most likely head back West. A HUGE loss for me personally, and certainly for Dallas…again.
No offense to Mr. Freedman, as I’m sure he’s a charming, witty, wonderful soul, and will do a bang-up job as the new Music Editor, but, I am/was quite biased and hopeful for another….crap…

If I were the D.O., Liles would have been my choice, hands down…

Thank you kindly, Cindy and Danny. That was very kind of you to say.
Truth is, I wouldn’t have lasted a month working for VVM.
I think I’m going to write a book about our friend Carter Albrecht instead.
