The Fine Line

The Apple of My Eisley

Posted by Cindy on August 16th, 2007

I’ve been madly in love with Eisley since way back in the early days. The music and the sounds and the voices that come from the Dupree kids just does me good. Real good. Way way way back in the day when we did live webcasts, I had a chance to interview the band a couple of times and I literally giggled and gushed like a school girl. Me, a 40-something year old mother of two, them 14-18 year old kids. Sigh. I don’t care, I love ‘em.

So I’m purely pissed that I missed their in-store at Waterloo Records yesterday in celebration of their new release, Combinations. I’m half tempted to drive to Houston tonight to catch their show at the Meridian, cuz after tonight, the kids hit the road across the good ol’ US0fA and on to Europe. Regardless, you can betchersweetass I’ll be gettin’ my own copy of the new album post haste.

I believe they have an in-store at Good Records, but I could be wrong…

(And do you know who else might make for a good “inside the…”? Miss KK. Just sayin’…)

Reid and I talked about nailing KK…well, not literally, I mean we are both married, but she’s a good interview. Hunter and I sat her arse down for Quick awhile back though…

[...] A little birdie told me that those Eisley kids also grace the cover of Ragged, as well as a feature on Filter TV. [...]
