Great to see Salim get the recognition he deserves. What a fine musician, but even more importantly, what a great positive influence he has on the Dallas music community. In fact, he’s a big piece of making it a community. I hope to see him Saturday, we wound up being too bushed to get out Saturday. I hope to see him and the equally amazing Eastwood and Dave Little this Saturday, but it’ll be tricky, because Fred has a gig with a Folk Group at Opening Bell Saturday. We’ll try to fit it all in, if possible cause that’s gonna be a fun show.
