I’ve fallen in love with many a child-band over the past few years. What can I say? They’s startin’ out talented earlier and earlier in life. One such child-band love that I’ve carried around with me in my pocket-book is the divine Voot Cha Index.

‘Twas a freezing cold February morning at the old Good Records on Good Latimer where I had my full recording set-up to catch audio of the Good Records 5th Anniversary Party. This adorable little group of youngsters took the stage first thing that morning, and I’ve yet to stop grinning like a silly fool since.

Voot Cha Index is a delightfully quirky band, full of life, full of energy and most definitely full of talent. The guys have finally released a 7-incher of the vinyl kind, and it’s in your best interest to head over to Good Records for your very own copy. Just for good measure, here’s a taste…

The kids ain’t so much kids no mo’ though. I think the bulk of the band graduates from high school this year, and, finger’s crossed, they’ll be giggin’ again real soon-like.
