Dougie Done Good…Again…
Posted by Cindy on February 7th, 2007
My dear, sweet Dougie has, once again, made it to the finals of the International Songwriting Competition. And rightly so cuz there ain’t nobody better’n Doug Burr.
How’s that? Why yes, yes there is something you can do whilst you await the results of Doug’s big win. You can go vote in the “People’s Voice Award” for Doug’s song “Come to My Senses.”
Here ’tis too…
“Come to My Senses” by Doug Burr

What we have here kids, is the show of shows. Seriously, you cannot miss this one. Fer one, the Theater Fire is threatening few and far between shows after this one. Fer three, who can pass up Bosque Brown and Baptist Generals? Nobody. That’s who. I was supposed to be heading south early Friday morning, but I might have to re-think that and head to the Granada instead…too good a show to miss.

Doug Burr is worth the price of admission alone. I love his music, He’ll be featuring some new songs. He was fantastic with Charlie Rapier at Lakewood Bar and Grill last week at Range Wednesday. I can’t think of another singer I like more, and there are a lot of really really good ones around.

Bill Doug’s music is literally what got me into this music biz 7 years ago. I heard his band The Lonelies play at a music festival we were hosting and fell head over heels in love. I still listen to The Lonelies EP on a daily basis and never tire of it. If you don’t have it, get it…or drop me an email and I’ll get it to ya.
