Thanks for all you did Cindy, it surely is some tiring work and the rewards are (more often than not) usually not balanced in the grand scheme of things. There is very little thanks and a whole lot of apathy but I hope you know you are appreciated. I’d like to thank you for all the years you’ve supported my band/events when no one else did and for doing the same for a lot of other little people. Best of luck and safe travels on the road you’re heading on.

I.
Love.
You.
But you already knew that.

Thank you.
Thank you for seeing something special about me way back when I was just a booking chick for one band. Thank you for liking me and my site well enough to ask me to partner with you in a new venture, The Fine Line. Thank you for the mentorship, the introductions, the hugs, the bitch sessions, the amazing whirlwind local music education you gave me and the understanding of the responsibilities that go along with custodianship.
I know you’ve been plumb tired, shit I’ve only been doing this with you 6 months and I’m already exhausted. For the last half decade you have spent your life taking care of everyone but yourself.
Go and enjoy your ‘me’ time. God knows you’ve fucking earned it, lady.
Your next 600 margaritas are on me.

hey Cindy, I know we haven’t always been best friends, but you seem like a nice person and I wish you the best. We probably won’t ever be able to agree on a ipod playlist or the best way to run a blog, but at the end of the day that kind of stuff is pretty trivial in a lot of ways. Good luck with your family situation and whatever you are planning in the future.

I love you.

Cindy,
I have been in Dallas for 4 years. In that time, you have helped me get to know the scene via TG, Introduced me to many people and bands, supported every project i was involved with, promoted all the shows that Method Entertainment has done and supported a scene that nobody else cared to support. Jesus… I dont even know how to pay you back for everything you have done for me. Thank you so much very for welcoming me into this scene that I love so much. Without you I would not be where I am now. I LOVE YOU CINDY!

You’ll probably never know or understand the extent to which you have impacted and helped those of us who play music in this town…
…But I hope you do.

Thank you Cindy. You really provided a valuable venue here, for musicians (and their oldster dads) to meet, interact, promote their music. Lots of good relationships were enhanced. best wishes. I’ll be happy to read more from you in the future.

Cindy = poophead
But I like her anyway. See you in Austin in March? I expect I’ll never get that boot of The Channel show at the Cavern now.

Cindy,
You deserve a box full of gold stars for all of the hard work you’ve put into the Finelinelive and its predecessor. And now you deserve a break.
The content has always been fresh and you clearly put your heart into your work.
Let me know if there’s any kind of “Celebration of Cindy” Happy hour in the works.

I’ve been in awe and admiration of you from the moment I heard about “Cindy at Texasgigs” – your love & knowledge of local music, your tenacious support of the scene, your fun and unique way of putting it all into words, and your kind and generous nature have helped bring together musicians, fans, club goers, and even naysayers in a way that will likely go unmatched in this city.
I’m excited for you and the new directions you’ll be taking! Brava, Cindy.

I’m definitely looking forward to your Quick blogging, but I’ll miss your summaries of the “creamy goodness” in the Dallas Observer music section. Keep at it. Good music keeps you young.
