Posted by Cindy on August 22nd, 2006

…then maybe I can record something for Wee Demon’s Sad Bastard Podcast…
“Many of the teachers and performers involved are friends of yours. This is a series of free day and evening parties happening this week (starting tomorrow). You’ll get to make stuff, including comic strips, buttons and more. You’ll get to learn how to play the saw or ukelele, see the Theater Fire and Video shoot the Tah Dahs. See below…”
The YarisWorks Roadshow extravaganza has been curated by leading members of local arts/music communities in partnership with Venus Zine. It consists of a series of FUN craft workshops for you to participate in on your lunch break. Learn something, make something and take your craft (and the knowledge you gained) home with you!
It also consists of two nights of interactive nighttime parties (called “collaborations”). One of the nights will feature a special gallery exhibit on “creativity in the everyday” made up of photos submitted to the website.
A festive, outdoor celebration on the weekend brings the Roadshow to a close. So, roll up your sleeves and get in there! Click on individual activities for more details.
